Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He, I am He who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)
Father Yahweh has brought us through and out of the last two years! We made it out alive, many of us made it even though we have lost loved ones, or having been otherwise affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether we survived illness, job loss, loss of relatives, financial hardship or other troubles, it has been a different and difficult but Praise Yahweh, we came through. I believe almost every person has been affected in tangible and intangible ways.
The good news is, you are here and able to tell your story. For some, Father brought us up to this point with more, similar to Noah who was able to make a sacrifice by offering up “some of all the clean animals and clean birds” (Genesis 8:20) without worrying about their extinction. We have seen growth – spiritual and otherwise. Praise our Father that He brought us through it all and praise Him because He has been with us throughout, even when we felt alone and forgotten.
Noah’s first order of business when he came out of the ark, was to build an altar and sacrifice. He took time to worship the One who brought Him through the world’s first and arguably worst natural disaster. Yes, you heard it, if COVID-19 is bad, it has nothing on the flood of Genesis (6-8). I believe that Noah worshipped during His storm and rain, and trusted Yahweh until the day He was told to come out (Genesis 8: 15). Today, even if we are still going through, we can celebrate the fact that we have come this far, that our Father brought us out of the last two years with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Celebrate also for those who who came through with us. Let us offer a sacrifice so pleasing, that it fills our Father’s nostrils and may He respond in His loving kindness as we go forward, with worship and prayer as our number one priority. (Genesis 8:20-22).
