Those who trust in Yahweh are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
Psalm 125:1 (LEB)
Triathletes have my admiration and respect. As I did some research for a sermon recently, I realized that a person who voluntarily enrolls in a competition which includes three sporting events (swimming, cycling and running), are not only interested in winning prizes, but in testing the limits of their endurance and mental temerity. It is amazing to see what we are capable of accomplishing, physically, if we train our bodies to endure the hardship of training and competing in events such as triathlons.
This is the definition of perseverance – to finish what you have started even against the greatest resistance in the body and mind. Perseverance requires faith, the belief that what we are pursuing is attainable and that we are able to accomplish the goals set before us. More importantly, our faith rests in the Most High and His omnipotence. The real reason we persevere is love. The bible says love does not give up (1 Corinthians 13: 7). Let love fuel your tenacity and determination, because the records (our past and present experiences) show that in the end, love wins (v. 8).
Today, as you live the love you profess, do not ever give up. Don’t give up on your faith, your God, Yahweh, your dreams and goals, your family or community. Do not give up on yourself, you have hope and you will win, because love always wins.

Write: Renew your commitment to persevere. From today’s devotional and scriptures, decide what it will take and declare that you have what it takes to finish what you have started or start what you have dared to dream about.
Pray: Let Father Yahweh know that you believe and trust His word. After declaring your faith, let Him know how much you need Him to go forward and ask for His instructions and help where you need it. Then rejoice in the Love that never gives up on you.
