If you see me…
Read: 2 Kings 2:9-10 and Colossians 3:1-4
Elijah said something important, essentially, “maintain that focus, and you will receive what you ask for”. So Elisha shut down every distraction, every ‘thoughtful advice’ saying he had gone far enough and every statement that could instill fear and worry about an inevitable loss. He was focused on what He knew he could not miss – a profound transformation. He wanted greater and he went after it.
Much will be happening in this space and season as you try to focus on receiving your double portion. But what really matters is that you see Him. If you see Him, it would mean that you did not lose sight of your desire for the double portion, even in the midst of a rapturous departure of one era to the next. Elisha saw and he worshipped and in that moment, he picked up the cloak of Elijah which represented power of his own future.
Don’t miss what you came for. Keep your eyes ahead of you.
