Does He have your attention?
Read: 1 Kings 19:19-21 and Mark 1:16-20
As Father Yahweh calls you closer in this season, it is in fact a call away from everything that would prevent you from giving your life fully to Him. Use fasting as a metaphor for what you will release permanently in order to walk in your calling. Like the disciples you may be called to drop your nets with the weight of the past weeks, months and years and begin your training for leadership, whatever that looks like. If he is calling you to lead in your ministry, your family, your business or to lead an exemplary life so that others will be inspired by you.
In your decision to leave one level for the next or one identity for your true calling, there will be some beliefs, ideas and attitudes that you will not need after this. The prophet Elisha destroyed any chance of returning to his field by sacrificing the animals and burning his machinery. As you decide to level up, be fully determined that your answer to the call is “yes today and always” and the letting go will become easier. Examine the possessions that cannot come with you beyond this experience and say goodbye to them today.
Pray: A.C.T.S. – Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication
Write: What is He calling you to? Who has He called you to be? Will you accept that call? Renounce what can no longer come with on your journey?
